SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
The Career Services Advisor plays a pivotal role in facilitating the successful transition of Hallmark University undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni into their chosen career fields. You will provide access to high-quality career readiness and placement resources, empower students with effective career readiness tools, cultivate and nurture strong industry relationships, and actively contribute to graduate placements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Actively promote student employment opportunities through Handshake postings, onsite employer visits, public job fairs, and other effective resources.
- Participate in institution-wide initiatives promoting students’ gainful employment and encouraging relevant certifications or licensure per degree plan.
- Update and conduct scheduled resume workshops, interview workshops, and job search training for both on-ground and on-line students.
- Engage with prospective employers of Hallmark University graduates to facilitate successful student placements.
- Establish new industry relationships and nurture existing ones, effectively communicating the value that Hallmark University and its graduates bring to the business community.
- Seek to build mutually beneficial industry partnerships with companies aligned with Hallmark’s Mission.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
- 3 -5 years of related work experience.
- Ability to work effectively with business industry professionals, students, and department faculty and staff.
- Outstanding client services skills and attributes.
- Knowledge of career placement tools and techniques.
