The company is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent tosupport the Purchasing Manager in enhancing profits through negotiation, sourcing and process improvements.

General Responsibilities:

Build and maintain a trade base to ensure bidding is done in a competitive manner Review SOW with construction and quickly move to replace a trade that does not meet expectations Analyze subcontractor proposals Complete bid analyses Assist Purchasing Coordinators as needed Review plans for discrepancies and help identify solutions prior to construction start Assist with generation of projected direct costs for future communities Recommend price changes to management to achieve margins Ensure product specification changes are processed Negotiate to receive best pricing Update POs as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in the home building industry Experience using JDE Enterprise One Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Excel Highly accurate and detail oriented Strong organizational skills Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Able to multi-task and see projects through to completion
