EquipmentShare is searching for a Technician (Mechanic) Apprentice for the branch in Stafford, VA to help us grow our workforce.

This apprenticeship will cover all aspects of a rental yard. There will be a rotation to familiarize and give you appreciation for each role and task. 

Primary Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and repairs on heavy construction equipmentWorks efficiently to do a good job in a minimum amount of timeCompletes all paperwork and reporting; insures all paperwork is submitted within the allowed timeframes, and with complete informationInspects equipment and reports to Manager and /or Customer when additional repairs are required, preventing possible customer dissatisfaction and increasing Service Department revenue opportunitiesAssist team members or Managers as neededObserves the company’s safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations.Develops and maintains relationships with current customers.Be proactive and assist in the process to solve any customer problem or situation.All other duties related to the position and other requested by supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications

Enrolled in a post secondary school to get certification in Diesel mechanics or other heavy equipment machineryMust have excellent attention to detail.Work with the service team to manage work orders and make sure work is completed in a timely fashion. Be able to communicate with customers about issues and timelines regarding equipment.
