Salesforce Administrator

This is NOT a REMOTE role. Hybrid in San Jose, CA.
In this exciting new role, the Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for gathering requirements and designing, configuring and supporting solutions within the Salesforce.com (SFDC) platform. The Administrator will partner with multiple business stakeholders to build and support solutions, tools and processes that deliver high value SFDC solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Plan, develop, and configure new functionality to support existing users’ ongoing adoption of SFDC. This may include updating or creating objects, fields and field values, page layouts, actions, process builder, custom reports, dashboards, user roles & profiles, data sets, and more.
- Develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business and technical solutions on Salesforce using Agile processes, principles, and techniques
- Triage support and development tickets, ensuring they are properly document
- Provide metrics, data analytics, and data visualizations to inform critical business decisions
- Help build and support custom applications and 3rd party integrations with Salesforce
- Create and maintain all aspects of customer relationship management (CRM) reporting and dashboards
- Deploy approved changes to production
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the overall SFDC application architecture, release processes, data models and sources, and integrated applications.
- Maintain CRM database for integrity and accuracy including cleansing and duplicate record management, performing weekly and monthly data loads, updating role hierarchy, account assignments, etc.
- Monitor SFDC annual releases, install routine updates and identify/communicate any areas of concern or interest.
- Participate in the feasibility review & impact assessment of enhancement requests submitted by business users
- Lead the effort to test new functionality in each release to ensure that compatibility with current business processes is maintained.
- Provide training and on-boarding to new users, as needed.
- Perform routine monitoring of platform such as running adoption reports and dashboards, generating user license counts, activating & deactivating user records, etc.
- Provide administrative support to the pricing platform integrated with Salesforce
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- 5+ years of experience as Salesforce Administrator
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (Required)
PREFERRED:
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, CPQ Specialist are highly preferred.
- Knowledge of pricing tools integrated with salesforce is preferred.
SKILLS:
- Understanding of Salesforce sharing and security (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules).
- Experience with Salesforce Sales cloud, Service cloud and experience cloud(Communities)
- Experience in Process Automation, Security configuration, Data Model creation, communities, Single Sign On.
- Experience with source repositories and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines, etc
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently.
- Experience working in iterative projects and with deployment strategies/processes (staging environment vs. production).
- Understanding of Agile-based development practices and Sprint planning strategies.
- Experience working with global teams.

Compensation & Benefits Details
- An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
