Job Summary

We employ students for summer and year-round opportunities to help design creative cost effective systems and equipment that keep the energy flowing to our customers in a safe and reliable manner. WEC Energy Group offers a variety of finance opportunities for students seeking hands-on experience that are currently enrolled in a four-year degree program. Students work with experienced members of these functional teams. 

 

As a finance intern you will have the opportunity to shadow and work on tasks related to accounting, forecasting and strategy. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in SAP cash clearing (FEBAN)
  • Gain understanding of account reconciliations
  • Troubleshoot issues between SAP and the banks
  • Participate in letter of credit and risk analysis
  • The intern will learn SAP general ledger and Treasury Module, OpenC customer service billing system, how credit facilities work and how to analyze credit risk of counter parties.
  • Financing – support the long-term debt financing process by preparing offering documents, pro forma financial statements and responding to investor diligence.
  • Reporting – support the preparation of debt-related reporting for SEC filings, regulatory and internal management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
  • Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Accounting or related major with a graduation date after June 2025.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.8
