Job Summary
The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of all retail businesses on the resort including purchasing, vendor relations, inventory, and personnel management. Duties include new product discovery and implementation, team training, guest and problem-resolution, and continued development of a diverse product selection targeted toward a resort and local audience. Responsible for establishing and maintaining systems and procedures, forecasting, controlling costs, growing revenues, long range planning/capital projects, and generating/analyzing reports and data.
Required
4+ years of management experience in the hospitality or retail industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Previous guest service experience
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and POS knowledge
ServeSafe or similar food management certification within 30 days of hire
Valid driver’s license and approved driving record
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business or similar field
Must be at least 21
Preferred
4+ years of gift/fashion purchasing experience
Knowledge of resort operations

Stay abreast of industry trends to ensure a profitable product mix and build relationships with vendors Attend regional/national sales tradeshows to purchase required merchandise and continued learning Train staff at each location, focusing on selling techniques, teambuilding, loss prevention, resort updates, and safety Work with team to monitor product mix of entire retail operation to ensure optimum purchasing options and inventory levels Analyze budget and resort business to meet goals and build future growth plans Be able to perform all tasks required from Retail Associate to Retail Operations Assistant Manager Other duties as assigned by managementFor more information, contact Ana at --.
