General Summary of Position

Registered Nurses, Acute Dialysis (Georgetown)


Our dialysis nurse will provide care to patients with kidney failure who require dialysis treatment. Duties will include assessing patients' conditions, administering dialysis treatment, monitoring vital signs, educating patients and families about kidney disease and self-care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and providing emotional support. As a part of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide theory-based professional nursing care and coordinate care delivery to patients.

Schedule

Three 12 hour shifts per week or Four 10-hour shifts per week 3-5 Call Shifts per schedule 

Per diem positions may be available, based on staffing needs

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree BSN required. Master's degree preferred.
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited academic nursing program required. 
(Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited academic nursing program preferred. If prepared at the associate degree in nursing level, required to enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of hire date and completion within 3 years).
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

Experience:

1-2 years’ RN experience required. Acute dialysis experience highly preferred.
License/Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state or jurisdiction of the facility seeking employment required.
CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required.
Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.

C-EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) is required for Perinatal nurses (labor and delivery, antepartum, antenatal testing) within 12 months from date of hire. New graduate nurses or new to specialty nurses (labor and delivery, antepartum, antenatal testing) will have 15 months from date of hire to obtain the EFM certification.
