Base Hourly Pay: $22.92 to to $25.22
In this role, you will-
Under direct supervision and in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and guidelines, this position:
The DX Coding Specialists code medical/laboratory requisitions with diagnoses and/or procedures ICD-10 coding in accordance with ICD-10 coding practices
Investigate and obtain missing diagnoses and/or procedure data Assists and/or trains others in coding practices as necessary Adheres to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and legal requirements Maintains consistent and reliable attendance and complies with company guidelines Performs other duties as assignedAll you need is:
High School diploma or GED Typing (min 35 wpm) and 10 Key. MUST be able to demonstrate proficiency. Medical coding (ICD-10) knowledge required Medical procedure coding (CPT, HCPC) knowledge preferred Understanding of CMS (Medicare) medical necessity policies preferred Medical coding certification, required Prior experience in a medical billing office is preferred For hospital settings, additional requirements may apply and change without notice, including but not limited to, criminal background check, health clearance, and hospital compliance training Successfully pass Company pre-employment drug test and periodic and random thereafter Demonstrated and proven ability/experience in accomplishments in all of our five coreBonus points if you’ve got:
