Research Team Manager  Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD)

Do you have a curious nature? Love researching information? The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS),  Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD)  is looking for a  Research Team Manager


Provide high level expertise in research design, analysis, and data needed to examine issues, trends and program evaluations. Recommend policy options based on project findings and provide detailed cost allocation plans and impact analyses, and facilitate the use of research data to improve existing programs. 


Develop or modify established policies, guidelines, practices, etc. Work with a high level of autonomy and discretion with a high level of responsibility for the data and recommendations due to the potential impact to the agency.

Example of Duties

will perform analysis of complex and critical issues and manage program research projects

will consult and present to division and department-level directors. and may consult and present to department executives and other senior officials

Typical Qualifications

The model candidate for this position is someone who:

loves performing research

can work with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism

loves to lead


Preference may be given to people who meet one of the following:

1 year or more supervisory experience

1 year or more advanced data analysis experience

1 year or more experience surveying populations with intellectual disabilities 

Supplemental Information

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
