Our client designs innovative solutions to address the control of particulate and microbial contamination in pharmaceutical and biotechnology operations worldwide. They develop meaningful technical relationships with clients to ensure that all products meet, if not exceed, their unique requirements. This job will nurture existing business in addition to identifying new opportunities and develop relationships with all customers to grow accounts in the assigned territory through the promotion and selling of multiple product lines. The territories for this position include: Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and Puerto Rico.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical and biotech marketplace
  • Work closely with marketing/business development/manufacturing to promote sales opportunities
  • Develop a strategic territory sales plan which includes account targets and actionable items
  • Schedule meetings and sales presentations to educate prospects/customers about multiple product lines
  • Attend local and national conferences to promote our products and increase brand awareness
  • Travel to meet with clients on a regular basis to grow the territory
  • Work with local distribution reps to educate them about company offerings
  • Increase product penetration into distributors portfolios

Other responsibilities

  • Identify local trade shows or advertising opportunities
  • Maintain notes and keep opportunity information updated in Salesforce (CRM)
  • Process expense reports and other internal needs in a timely manner
  • Work with other team members to ensure the smooth onboarding of business
  • Pass on customer objections, pain-points, and complaints to management to help address and rectify any issues

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in a scientific field, such as Microbiology, is a 5+ years experience in sales
  • Experience with clean rooms and/or experience in a pharmaceutical environment is desirable
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Self-starter; motivated, and must be able to work independently as well as be team-focused and results-driven.
  • Strong presentation, organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated sales ability and industry knowledge.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, especially with customers and senior management.
  • Ability to work with customer environmental monitoring departments and engineering/facilities departments.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Access and internal sales tools.
  • Familiarity with FMS systems.
  • Strategic focus.
  • Strong technical skills; able to present technical concepts; provide customers with hands-on techniques using our products.
  • Must possess technical knowledge of all marketed products and services as well as strong sales skills

Location in Florida or Georgia is preferred

Must be available to travel up to 50%
