We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Home Health Sales Representative to join our team at Vertus Healthcare. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our homecare services to healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners, and case managers to promote our homecare services.
- Conduct Presentations: Conduct in-services, presentations, and educational events to introduce our home health care services to healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
- Coordinate Discharge Planning: Coordinate and complete on-site discharge planning when needed, ensuring a smooth transition of care for patients.
- Market Analysis and Business Development: Perform a territory market analysis and develop business development plans to drive sales growth and revenue.
- Develop New Business Referral Sources: Identify and establish new business referral sources, consistently developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals and organizations.
- Maintain Current Relationships: Successfully maintain current relationships with referral sources, meeting regularly with the clinical team to ensure alignment and growth.
- Market Strategies: Identify and implement market strategies with sales and clinical teams to drive continued census growth and revenue.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of Medicare and state-specific home health care regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
- Business Planning: Prepare business plans, maintain target lists, and prioritize accounts in accordance with the market sales plan.
- Account Management: Gather and organize account-related information, providing input on key customer opportunities, service line extensions, and proposal or contract pricing.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a health-related science (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, etc.) or the equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of healthcare or related industry sales experience, preferably in home health care or a related field.
- Skillset: Excellent selling, organizational, problem-solving skills, and the ability to represent the company's service capabilities to the targeted referral source audience.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
- Travel: Ability to travel within assigned territory and to sales meetings as required.
