Position Summary
THE FOCUS IS YOU
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base. Your primary focus will be on generating new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and promoting the firm's services.
This position demands an exceptional balance of drive and commitment, coupled with exemplary interpersonal skills, topped off with a win-win mindset. The Client Relationship Manager (Account Manager) possesses the uncanny ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a high-paced and fast-changing work environment. As an emerging business partner, the Client Relationship Manager (Account Manager) will drive business development while under the guidance of leadership.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
Lead Generation:
• Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including online research, networking events, and referrals moving the client through winning the deal
• Use cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach strategies to generate leads
Relationship Building:
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
• Act as a liaison between clients and the firm, ensuring their needs are met
Collaboration:
• Work closely with partners, senior management, and other departments to align business development efforts with overall company goals
• Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotional materials
Market Research:
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes
• Provide feedback to the marketing and leadership teams based on market research
Sales Team Support:
• Provide a variety of support tasks as needed, such as run reports, review and proofread documents, maintain client info in database, etc.
• Assist team members with scheduling and follow-up of client and prospect outreach
Business Development Responsibilities:
• Drive revenue growth for the Atlanta office within the Resource Solutions Group service line
• Partner with Management Consulting practice leaders to strategize and manage sales efforts effectively
• Implement traditional sales strategies, including account management, appointment setting, client meetings, and networking events
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with Firm resources to close deals successfully
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in business development, sales, or related role
• 2 – 5 years of experience in sales and account management
• Experience in a business / corporate-to-corporate setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Preferred Experience
• Services experience
• Proven experiences in business development, sales, or related role within the CPA or financial services industry
• An understanding of accounting and finance principles
Travel
• May be required for attending conferences as a recurring part of the job
