The Shipping Supervisor is directly responsible for the safety of the warehouse, both of person and product, as well as the logistical flow and storage of all finished good products in the plant. This includes following James Hardie procedures and processes for daily trucking schedules and forward looking to understand what is coming the next day to pre-stage shipments for expediting. Duties include ensuring all data is being recorded for daily metrics that will be provided to management which will include safety, Quality, Service and Cost. The Shipping Supervisor will take ownership of and be responsible for reporting out on these metrics. Duties will also include to coordinating and execution of our finished goods cycle count requirements.


What You’ll Do:

Responsible for the safety of person and products in the warehouse. Execute the logistical flow of all things finished good products coming in and out of the plant by following the daily print out of trucks schedules to come to the plant and what needs to be on them. Develop, maintain and communicate timely and accurate reporting of the warehouse KPI’s Deliver service metrics that will enable adherence to company on-time service requirements for all trucks that get loaded and shipped out each day they are scheduled. Manage put-away plans. Manage and coordinate cycle counts of all finished good products. Log trucks as they come in and out to track turnaround time.  Develop and maintain positive rapport with all James Hardie Employees.  Develop and implement cost saving measures

What You’ll Bring:   

3+ Years of experience preferred of equivalent warehouse/shipping experience 3+ Years of supervisory experience over hourly personnel Comfortable working in a largely self-directed environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook Able to routinely operate a forklift Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to multi-task Strong analytical skills Self-starter and self-motivated Strong organizational skills Detail orientated and strong follow up skills
