Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the receipt and shipment of materials and products
  • Coordinate the flow of work and materials to ensure efficient production
  • Aid in scheduling shipments and managing inventory levels
  • Collaborate with department supervisors to monitor progress and completion times
  • Compile reports on work progress and inventory levels
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Prepare documents for routing materials and tracking inventory
  • Monitor production flow and perform material handling functions as needed
  • Package finished products for shipment
  • Rotate through various tasks in the production process
  • Ensure adherence to 5-S principles and track parts and scrap using electronic systems
  • Follow established processes and procedures in the Logistics/Shipping & Receiving area
  • Write production reports as needed
  • Perform a variety of tasks to maintain the flow of work
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts and manage discrepancies between actual stock quantities and inventory system records
  • Aid in maintaining customer and internal packaging instructions
  • Adhere to quality policy, ISO/TS16949, and EHS policy
  • Follow company SOPs and adhere to anti-mutilation policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Experience in material/product movement of automotive components using various lifts and devices
  • 1+ year of experience in material management/shipping & receiving is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in math, reading, and writing
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer skills, PDA, and warehouse management systems
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this role include heavy walking and standing throughout the shift, frequent bending, and lifting up to 80 pounds. The ability to use hands to type, handle objects, and wear safety Personal Protective Equipment is also required. The role may involve travel for training and requires the ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
