Universal Presentation Concepts (UPC) is looking to a hire full-time Account Manager to join our team at our Madison, WI facility. Our Account Manager opening is a key role in our organization that builds strong relationships with key customers to sustain and grow our business.

The Account Manager (AM) serves as the primary business contact for external clients and is responsible for client satisfaction. The AM is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. In addition, the AM will build relationships and trust with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

What will my day look like?

Candidates who are best suited for this position are highly self-motivated, creative, a team player, and have office administrative or customer service experience. Common work duties include:

  • Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution and compliance with client deliverables and revenue goals.
  • Travel to meet with customers when necessary. Most often through email, phone, online presentations and screen-sharing platforms.
  • Reviews all major deliverables of each project to ensure quality standards, client expectations and profitability parameters are met for both UPC and the client.
  • Completes all processes, forms and procedures to initiate a project internally.
  • Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
  • Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing management of any problems that may arise.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics. Meets all revenue goals.
  • Properly vets and qualifies all customers.
  • Initiates work orders ensuring all information is complete and correct for pass off to customer service team for processing.
  • Works closely with the project team to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.
  • Brainstorms with internal team to create opportunities for account growth and new business. Utilize internal resources such as engineers, design, art department, costing department, management team etc.
  • Collaborates with management team and art department to create customer focused marketing materials such as email blasts promoting UPC products.
  • Prepares power point presentations or utilizes whatever platform needed to deliver creative brief and project information to client.
  • Works closely with engineers and the costing department to obtain accurate and up to date prices for clients.
  • Prepares customer quotes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete understanding of UPC's products, capabilities and services. Effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
  • Enhance department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Participates in networking opportunities and attends trade shows when necessary.
  • Attends weekly meetings and provides regular input to internal team on all project activities.
  • Completes daily notes giving an overview of wins, losses and opportunities to the management team.
  • Monitor and analyze customer's usage of UPC products.

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

  • 3-5 years in Account Management, Project Management or similar role.
  • Bachelor Degree Business Administration is preferred.
  • Proven skills in creating, maintaining and enhancing customer relationships.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency operating Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point are required.

What will my schedule look like?

This role generally works office hours Monday-Friday 7:30a-5p. We can be flexible on start and end times as long as you are meeting business needs.
