Sawhorse Productions is a cutting edge content studio currently seeking a lead Interactive Creative Director to develop concepts & lead teams of designers, developers, and 3D artists across an amazing range of interactive projects. We are a group of passionate producers, directors, editors, and designers looking to grow our team and make the best content possible.

The position will set the tone for the team internally, fostering an environment of respect and collaboration amongst our staff and freelance crew while delivering an excellent experience and product for our partners and clients.

This role will be client-facing, helping build our existing client relationships, win new business, and lead creative teams.
Our office is located in Los Angeles. You will have the option to work from our office and remotely depending on the schedule. 

Creative Leadership
  • Develop interactive/metaverse ideas for some of the biggest brands, beloved musical acts, movie & TV show releases, and your favorite entertainment properties.
  • Work directly with clients and maintain a working relationship throughout each project
  • Conceive and implement concepts and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion
  • Direct, motivate, and guide teams of strategists, art directors, illustrators, copywriters, developers etc. to help them use their talents effectively
  • Concept & develop in collaboration with full team and lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas
  • Monitor results of team efforts and propose actions for the future
  • Pitching concepts to clients, commercial directors and any partners
  • Overseeing several projects from start to finish, keeping to deadlines, and signing off on these projects before they are presented

Interactive/Metaverse/Roblox Projects
  • Develop creative concepts that lead to successful brand activations in the interactive/metaverse space
  • Work with Game Designers, 3D artists, Developers & project managers to deliver against the client’s goals & timelines
  • Manage day-to-day client needs and help them understand the development process
  • Ensure the project stays on message and meets client goals throughout development
  • Stay up to date with developments and changes on Roblox
  • Write and direct marketing campaigns to promote the project

Pitch & Creative Development
  • Lead pitches, inclusive of project management, ideation and writing & designing pitch decks, and presenting to the client.
  • Be able to ideate and produce ideas within scope
  • Write and design unique and well-crafted copy that meet clients’ needs

Requirements

  • Well versed in Roblox development and project workflow. Deep knowledge of the Roblox space and how brands have been engaging with the platform.
  • Proven experience as a creative director or in a similar creative role
  • Hand-on experience in creative process, marketing, graphic design and brand development
  • Familiarity with Google Docs (or similar presentation software)
  • Proficient in IOS, Mac computers, G-Suite, Slack
  • Outstanding leadership and organization skills
  • Ability to manage client relationships and carry presentations

Very nice-to-haves

  • Knowledgeable about other UGC / metaverse platforms such as Fortnite, Decentraland, The Sandbox, Spatial, Zapeto, etc.
  • Located in Los Angeles or close to Los Angeles

This position is generally M-F 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM PST, and will start with a freelance probation period of 90 days, and then move to full time if everyone is aligned.
