The Role

As a Unigy Systems Engineer, you will act as an extension of the Global Service Engineering Team. You will extend support capabilities and provide On-site Trading Room Support and coordination to the JPMC and NY Unigy IPC teams. You will be required to perform Unigy UMS programming for Service Requests, also assist in the coordination of incident support, reporting requirements of customer engagements. You will interface directly with Traders and NY Unigy on-site team for any Unigy UMS back room configuration work in support of MACD and Incident tickets. You will perform Unigy Turret Front Room activities to confirm MAC implementation as successful. Provide support for Incident restoration testing, and validation of Turret testing, post Bank or IPC changes, to ensure site Turret service operations are restored and are business ready. You will generally be assigned to provide support coverage at a designated customer location or provide multiple site coverage remotely, if required. You will interface to the customer and JPMC Technology Support Teams and will be expected to represent IPC in a highly professional manner. 

Job Responsibilities

• Interface directly with the Unigy Network Management System (UMS) on backroom systems work to build, retire and change user profile configurations and assign/remove resources within Unigy.
• Acts as an on-site liaison between customer Users and various IPC teams. 
• Provide local on-site and handling of local support requirements with the work streams, during normal operating hours.
• Assisting with local incident management and gathering user requirements for MACD order requests.
• Manage site orders and provide local support to the JPMC Technology teams and NY Unigy team in execution of MACD orders
• Performs installation, service and maintenance on IPC front room devices in cooperation with customer requirements.
• Escalation as required to IPC JPMC Technology teams and IPC management with technical issues raised through installation and/or maintenance problems.
• Act as a local agent to the JPMC Technology , NY Unigy team and to assist with testing and validating changes.
• Interact with users, to answer questions and provide desk side Turret training.
• Attend morning health check Operations status calls and communicate site-specific work site team is supporting.
• Interface with local bank teams on site work that impacts the Trading Operation, to gather and understand requirements and communicate them to other IPC teams 
• Interface with both Bank and IPC Remedy to ensure all work tickets assigned to you are updated and closed within Service Level Targets
• Responsibilities will include adherence to all JPMC and IPC Training courses on systems.

Hours of Work and General Environment:
• Normal hours will typically be a function of the hours of coverage that have been agreed for the site that you will be responsible for. Hours may be amended by management to accommodate customer and or IPC requirements.
• Regular overtime and possible travel are requirements of this position.

Experience and Skills Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 1-3 years of front-line technical support or related service experience. 
2. Must possess experience with IT Infrastructure technologies and VoIP Telephony technologies. Must have experience working with ITSM system, such as Remedy. 
3. High energy and motivated individual with prior work experience in ITIL based culture. 
4. Experience supporting global customers, working with a wide array of individuals from ends users to customer’s business executives. Must demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to work within a team environment and communicate effectively across a variety of geographically dispersed resources.
5. Ability to be self-sufficient and work independently.
6. Excellent organizational skills, written-verbal technical communication.
7. Flexibility and willing to work non-standard hours on occasion to meet customer demands. 
8. Experience with supporting trading floors with IPC Unigy technologies is desirable.
9. Proven experience in process improvements and automation is a plus.
10. Demonstrate commitment to quality and customer services. 
11. Methodical troubleshooting skills. 
12. SIP certification that covers VOIP path end to end, through PSTN and IP PBXs, via SBCs and proxies is desirable. 
13. Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio to support updating Technical documentation and Run Books.
