An M365 solutions architect is responsible for evaluating organization’s business needs and recommending solutions to deliver on those needs, leveraging software, hardware, or infrastructure, based on enterprise standards and technology best practices. This role is responsible for aligning IT strategy to business strategy and setting a multi-year roadmap of the platform to deliver on those strategic goals and projects. A solution architect also bridges communication between IT and business operations to ensure everyone is aligned in developing and implementing technical solutions for business problems. The process requires regular feedback, adjustments, and problem-solving to properly design and implement potential solutions.

*This is a hybrid-office position and requires regular office attendance in either Minnetonka, MN or Tampa FL *

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible to:

Plan, coordinate, architect, and provide technical expertise pertaining to applications and solutions aligned with the business requirements and strategies of the organization.

Develop and maintain technical design plans and architectural blueprints for the assigned area.

Provide technical leadership from strategic decision phase through project planning and implementation

Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap for solution delivery on M365 platform.

Initiate, participate in or lead technology evaluations and solution selections based on requirements and constraints.

Document and develop in-depth knowledge of the existing IT architecture/infrastructure in the assigned area of specialization and its complete technology portfolio.

Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of strategic efforts and make cost effective and flexible recommendations.

Report on technology findings and make recommendations for improvement.

EXPERTISE:

Senior experience in selecting and delivering enterprise and solution-level designs, business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.

Strong background in risk management methodologies as they relate to the assigned area of expertise.

Excellent understanding of multi-tier architectures and extensive experience developing strategic plans and technology blueprints.

Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.

EXPERIENCE:

Typically has 8-12 years of specialized technology expertise including leading cross-functional technical project teams, successfully organizing and delivering large technology initiatives and developing multi-year plans and strategies to support business objectives.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Implementing and supporting Microsoft cloud technologies and services such as MS Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint online, One Drive, Intune, MAM / MDM, Autopilot, Purview, Compliance Manager, etc. in a multi-tenant environment.

Expertise with Microsoft ADFS, Azure AD Connect and Azure AD Premium (Seamless Sign On & Pass-Through Authentication), Azure AD Identity Protection (Risk based Conditional Access), Conditional Access, Azure/Okta Multi-Factor Authentication (and how to Design Azure Conditional Access Custom Controls with on-premises MFA solutions), Azure Privileged Identity/Access Management (Just In Time, Just Enough Administration, Admin/User Access Reviews)

Must have architectural understanding of Microsoft 365 protections – CAS, DLP, ATP, AIP

Must have architectural understanding of Data Loss Prevention, RMS/IRM, Azure Information Protection (Classification-Labelling & Sensitive Information Types), Office 365 Message Encryption & Transport Rules

Legal/Litigation Holds, Retention, Deletion, Auditing, Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection

Identities security risks to the O365 environment and services, suggests mitigation, ensuring systems adherence and compliance with security standards and practices

Analyzes new technologies and applications within the O365 environment, and designs and implements these in test and production

Put together detailed strategies for new applications and technologies, Monitor M365 platform and plan for upcoming changes to determine user, security, and legal impact

Performing root cause analysis and repair of Highly complex technical issues and trends to include assisting team members as needed as a tier 4 escalation point

System Center Configuration Manager/MS EndPoint Configuration Manager and integration with Intune for co-management of devices (laptops, desktops, mobile)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, or related fields; or equivalent work experience.

Communication and Interpersonal skills:

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

At a minimum, the ability to work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Consistent attendance is required, which may include attendance at after-hour Company events.

Ability to accept supervision.

Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, supervisors, outside customers, and vendors.

Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.

Ability to work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
