Position: Program Manager - Massachusetts Office

Overview:

Are you driven to narrow the digital gap in New England? Computers 4 People, a leading technology non-profit committed to digital inclusion, seeks a proactive and innovative Program Manager for our Massachusetts office (87 Beaver St, Waltham, MA 02453). This role is responsible for managing and expanding all programs serving New England.

Yearly Goals and responsibilities:

  • Seek and manage grant/funding opportunities, work with grant writing/communications team

  • Organize program goals in alignment with contract requirements. Provide comprehensive reports to funders and the Executive Director on program performance and opportunities for growth.

  • Build ITAD (e-recycler) relationships to enable external refurbishment, recycle, and resale. Generate $100,000 in computer sales through ITAD partners a year.

  • Forge 50 new non-profit partnerships per year. These partners will nominate individuals in need for computers and host digital skills classes.

  • Establish 50 new corporate computer donor relationships and schedule pickups.

  • Organize community events to boost brand visibility.

  • Launch and manage drop-off locations at retail businesses and libraries.

  • Create and manage region specific budgets on a yearly basis. Work with the finance team to ensure financial reporting compliance with funders/government.

  • Manage office space, rent, and office moving/expansion. Keep the office clean/organized according to company policies.

  • Become an expert in all software C4P uses: CRM, Inventory, Google Workspace, and more. Advanced digital skills and troubleshooting is utilized on a daily basis.

  • Assist marketing team with user generated content and featured stories for social media.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, recipients, and funders.

  • Lead, nurture and grow team to accomplish goals

    • Collect, refurbish, and donate 1,500 computers to individuals/organizations in need per year. This number may increase depending on new funding sources.

    • Follow and enforce C4P procedures. Including: customer service, accurate inventory, team management, outreach, and marketing. Help document new policies/procedures for new programs/practices.

    • Hire digital skills instructors to teach basic digital literacy skills curriculum. Seek new contracts with organizations to host classes.

    • Build new curriculum to meet the needs of funders/students

    • Distribute mobile hotspot and get individuals enrolled in free/low-cost internet in accordance with funding priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurship and sales experience

  • Technical Experience: Windows, CRM, Slack, ChatGPT, Google Workspace, Excel. Desire to become more technical.

  • Contract management and program execution.

  • Budget creation and management experience.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to take initiative and ownership over responsibilities

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Leadership and hiring experience. Ability to keep the team accountable.

  • Dedication to our mission of digital inclusion and community support.

  • Willingness to play a pivotal role in building our New England/Northeast operations.

  • Non-profit or Government service experience.
