UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a Registered Nurse to support our Nursing Administration team as an Administrator on Duty

This is a full-time 7:00 pm-7:00 am shift position.
This position is eligible for a generous sign-on bonus
External candidates are eligible for $15, in exchange for a 2-year work commitment
*Job Title and pay rate will be determined based on education and experience.
While providing coverage whole house nursing leadership repsonsibilities, The Administration on Duty is accountable for proactively coordinating the activities of admission, discharge and transfer of patients thereby supporting throughput in the facility. Provides direction to department leaders to ensure safe levels of staffing while maintaining efficient hospital throughput. Serves as a resource for all staff and is able to apply competent knowledge and skills to achieve quality outcomes. Provides an interim leadership including but not limited to crisis management intervention as a representative of hospital administration. Channels pertinent patient/employee/department information to appropriate internal and external sources.
Responsibilities:
Administrator on Duty:
BS/BSN required. If BS degree not in nursing, a Master's or higher degree in Nursing is required.CNL/MSN preferred.Minimum of 3 years progressive leadership experience required with relevant clinical experience preferred.Must maintain a solid/strong performer rating on annual performance review.Administrator on Duty, Fellow:
Minimum of 2 years progressive leadership experience required, with clinical experience preferred.BSN required, either at time of hire/transfer, or must be enrolled in a program within one year of hire/transfer date and completed within three years of enrollment.Must maintain a solid/strong performer rateing on annual performance review.
