A&E Clinical Coder Band 3 - 30 Hours
The Clinical Coding Department at NCIC has an opportunity for a committed, enthusiastic and hardworking A&E coder to join our team.
Based at West Cumberland Hospital you will be responsible for recording treatments and investigations against all A&E attendances. The successful candidate will be expected to work in collaboration with the team based in Carlisle to ensure all A&E attendances are recorded in a timely manner and as a team you are expected to achieve deadlines for data submission.
Main duties of the job
You must have good IT and communication skills along with a keen eye for detail. The role involves extracting clinical information from A&E documentation, therefore an understanding of medical terminology would be advantageous.
In addition, you must be motivated and be capable of organising your own workload. You will also have a proven record of working in a team environment and contributing to that team's success
