Job Summary

:

Working on the production line, you will inspect blades and vanes as well as perform over-inspects for operators. These positions require shift work and ability to work overtime when needed. The inspector will be working to obtain an inspection stamp or have a newly required stamp. They will be able to perform basic inspection functions like being able to read a blueprint, use basic hand gauges and understand technical standards. The basic operations would include final inspection, writing Quality Notifications and performing over-inspects for operations. They inspector could be training on advanced layout inspection skills. This position will require performing routine operations.

This is a 2nd shift position: Monday - Thursday, 4:30 pm - 3:30 am.

Key Responsibilities:

Work from applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment Accepting material or referring for rework or quality review based on findings Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines where program instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results Perform necessary problem solving to determine extent of nonconformance and complete documentation Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that process steps are being followed Perform Solumina required job audits for Op Cert surveillance Perform OpCert over inspects, as required Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned Detailed inspection cert is required at the conclusion of training Train other operators to perform work tasks Provide technical support and maintain a strong working relationship with the operations team Demonstrate and maintain effective leadership skills. Exhibits consistent skill and positive attitude towards their job while demonstrating the highest degree of quality and productivity Ability to conduct physical activities such as bending, reaching, pulling, pushing

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract Previous inspection experience

Preferred Qualifications:

ASQ Certified Quality Inspector  Previous aerospace manufacturing experience SAP experience  Experience using Keyence or Profilometers measuring equipment  Microsoft Office experience
