Who are we...
Between 1920 and 1935, a group of the original Blackstone's Hotel’s key decision makers held a weekly poker game centered around food and community. It's rumored that within this late-night circle, this group, dubbed "The Committee", not only gambled but took turns cooking for the group, and made many of the pivotal decisions for the hotel's future.
The Committee Chophouse is an homage to this group, and captures the spirit and cheer of the original Blackstone Hotel's private club. Located inside The Cottonwood Hotel, a reinvention of the historic Blackstone Hotel, the restaurant marks a return to the art of the Chophouse.
The menu is unlike anything you will see in the Omaha area. Our culinary team prepares some of the finest meals by creating unique recipies and cooking them to perfection. The front of house team delivers service with the upmost professionalism while taking pride in the history the resturant represents on a daily basis. Responsibilities
What You'll Do ...
Lead and manage the daily front of house operations of The Committee Chophouse, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction Create a welcoming and memorable dining experience for guests, going above and beyond to exceed their expectations Develop and train a team of talented individuals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment Monitor and maintain presentation, and consistency to uphold our reputation for excellence Implement effective marketing and sales strategies to attract guests and increase revenue Monitor financial performance, control costs, and optimize profitability Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Stay updated with industry trends and make recommendations for menu enhancements and improvements Coordinate large parties to ensure that the service matches experience expectations.
Qualifications
What you need... You need to be the example. You will work side by side with your team members to lead them to victory Our guests are always our always a top priority. Your avaliablity needs to be flexible based off of buisness demands. We are not all talk but you need to know how to do it Able to effecitevly communicate with the team and guests is a must. 4 years experience in the food and beverage industry. Six months to one year in a management position. Must be able to schedule, forecast, and budget department. Wine and fine food knowledge perferred. Days fly by Time management skills are a must in this industry.
