VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital is expanding its team and looking for Veterinary Assistants
Are currently working in a veterinary wellness setting and looking to take the next step in your career? VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital is a hybrid practice offering emergency, internal medicine and urgent care in addition to wellness veterinary care. Take that next step and use your current knowledge as a stepping stone to expand your skills Our veterinary assistants are an integral part of a dedicated team providing compassionate care to all of our patients. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures. Venipuncture Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc. Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team. Discharge instructions with clients. Complete estimates, basic record keeping. Recovering patients from anesthesia. Dentistry and dental radiographs. Pharmacy. Processing laboratory samples in-house and preparing laboratory samples for outside labs. Diagnostic Imaging.Compensation: $ – 22 /hour.
Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
