The Handy Person is responsible for completing very basic repairs to overseeing & working on large projects and renovations. The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of the skills below, be dependable, enjoy the daily variety of tasks a large resort offers and works efficiently independently.

Duties & Requirements:

  • General repair knowledge of many areas of physical facilities
  • General carpentry skills
  • General plumbing repairs
  • General electric repairs
  • Small appliance repairs
  • Cabins, docks and furniture repairs
  • Roofing repairs
  • Experience with painting materials
  • Windows & screen repairs and replacements
  • Must be able to carry up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to climb ladders
  • Must be able to problem solve
  • Must have a working knowledge of power tools
  • Must be able to drive a skid steer and tractor (with or without a snowplow attached)
  • Must be able to pull trailers and back them up
  • Must be able to drive
  • General landscaping and upkeep may be a part of the position at different times of the year

Fair Hills Resort is a family vacation destination and special events venue. Performed by our very own staff, the Hootenanny is a favorite to all to be involved in or watch We encourage all our staff to be involved in the Hootenanny as it is the longest running musical in the upper midwest and an integral way to bond with your fellow staff Whether you are musically inclined or not, the Hootenanny is for everyone. Fair Hills also offers other talent outlets; Staff vs. Guest volleyball, Staff Talent Show, Karaoke, Yoga & Fitness Classes, etc. We love to showcase the talents and skills of the team
