Facility Maintenance Attendant Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Attendant to fill a crucial role within our team. The ideal candidate will be a dependable and skilled individual who recognizes the significance of cleanliness in an organization.

The selected candidate should possess strong communication abilities, be adept at prioritizing tasks, and exhibit both a proactive and reactive approach. We strive to maintain a tidy and well-organized environment, and we expect our future Facility Maintenance Attendant to take full ownership of this responsibility.

This is an entry-level position, typically scheduled for evenings from 7 PM to midnight, unless alternative arrangements are made. The role reports directly to the Facility Director.
Responsibilities of a Facility Maintenance Attendant:
  • Cleaning floors throughout the building (vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping)
  • Collecting and disposing of indoor waste
  • Cleaning, servicing, and restocking restrooms
  • Washing windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
  • Participating in building security and safety measures (checking and securing doors, inspecting electrical appliances)
  • Moving equipment, supplies, and furniture as needed
  • Notifying management of necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Maintaining tools and equipment required for cleaning duties
  • Requesting supplies for cleaning tools and equipment
  • Proactively identifying areas requiring custodial attention and communicating with supervisors
  • Seeking additional custodial tasks beyond assigned duties
Facility Maintenance Attendant Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Demonstrated experience as a Cleaner/Janitor with outstanding cleaning capabilities
  • Knowledge of and adherence to sanitation protocols
  • Ability to respond and act swiftly
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies
  • Exemplary work ethic
  • Self-motivated and directed
  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively
