Job Purposes::

The Dayton Regional STEM School seeks highly motivated and effective high school teachers to join an existing school faculty and staff for the - school year. Seeking candidates in the following content areas: science, mathematics, language arts, and social studies. The curriculum will include collaboratively designed project-based learning units that connect to multiple disciplines and/or real-life issues.

Required Qualifications::

Bachelor's degree by August 1,
High School teaching license or alternative license by August 1,
Outstanding communication and collaborative skills

Preferred Qualifications::

Ability to integrate technology into the classroom
Experience working with high school students
Credentialed to teach college level courses
Master's degree or master's level coursework completed
Project-Based Learning (PBL) teaching experience
Experience with collaboration and cross-curricular integration

Essential Functions and percent of time::

- Plan and deliver course instruction for high school students – 75%
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop and refine content & materials for courses – 20%
- Participate in various meetings (including IEPs, conferences, etc.) and professional development opportunities – 5%

This is a grant funded position with continuation dependent on funding. Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply.
