Road Mechanic – Construction Equipment

Pay:$55.19/hour

Minimum five (5) years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair of heavy construction equipment required, CAT strongly preferredMust be computer proficient to be able to run diagnostic software and prepare service communicationsMust have strong communication skills and have a high level of self-managementClean & valid driver’s license requiredCDL license strongly preferredResponsibilities:
Successfully provide service of recognized superior value.
Troubleshoot problemsEfficiently utilize resources to correct problemsDocument steps taken to correct problemsMaximize the efficient use of service and repair processes to provide fast accurate service and minimize unnecessary expense.
Plan proper repair procedures for efficiencyEfficiently utilize tooling and technical resourcesContinually improve key processesEffectively communicate status of repair work with supervisorEffectively communicate with customers.
Represent H.O. Penn in a positive, professional mannerCommunicate customers’ options to correct current problemsAdvise customer of cost of repair and collect payment as requiredSuccessfully contribute toward building a culture of safety through completion of all safety initiatives and demonstrating safe work
Complete/attend all safety meetings, computer-based safety training, safety audits, and other safety training as assignedWork in a proactive, safe manner in compliance with all safety practices, policies, and trainingImmediately resolve and/or report all safety issues to supervisorMaintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with all Contamination Control InitiativesQualifications:
