Fleet Road Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Lead to join our team at US Foods, Inc.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $32 per hour, plus a $10,000 retention bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance, starting on day one.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced diesel mechanic to take on a leadership role in our fleet maintenance department. As a Diesel Mechanic Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of our fleet road equipment, ensuring compliance with State and Federal trucking regulations.
You will also be responsible for documenting maintenance logs, performing road rescue when needed, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will contribute to a culture of excellence within one of the largest food distributors in the country.
In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate with coworkers and drivers. You will also have the ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Requirements- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience
- or 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or refrigeration certification
You must also be willing to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs, possess computer and software experience, and be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
