Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Specialist - Cleaning & Facilities Maintenance is to clean and maintain the public areas of the Company’s offices as assigned and to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Dust and mop floors

  • Clean interior and exterior glass partitions

  • Dust and clean all furniture, light fixtures (within reach) and baseboards

  • Clean glass, mirrors, counters, and office doors/frame to remove fingerprint, stains, etc.

  • Inspect all walls and spot clean as needed

  • Dust all horizontal surfaces, including office doors, office entrance door, side doors, workstation partitions, windowsills, cabinets, décor accessories, and pictures

  • Wipe down non-fabric upholstered furnishings i.e., vinyl, leather, mesh, etc. with appropriate cleaning agent

  • Wipe down and disinfect equipment inclusive of microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, sinks, outside of recycle bins and trash cans, water coolers, monitors, keyboards, mouse, mouse pads, etc.

  • Stock paper towels, hand soap and hand sanitizer for all areas

  • Vacuum all areas

  • Empty all trash cans and appropriately dispose of recycled materials (except sealed bins as intended for shredding by others)

  • All areas of the office and kitchen shall be sanitized inclusive of high touch point areas i.e., door handles, light switches, desks, counters, desk phones, etc.

  • Ensure storage areas and public areas of the Company’s offices are well organized

  • Perform cleaning of outdoor patio furniture and railing.

  • Clean all window glass around the perimeter of the offices that faces the outside and exterior windows on balcony

  • Clean inside and outside of trash cans and recycle bins

  • Restrooms:

    • Clean and polish mirrors.

    • Clean and sanitize toilets, toilet seats, sinks, trash cans, and urinals inside and outside; polish bright work.

    • Dust top of mirrors, restroom stalls, pictures, décor accessories, restroom framing and baseboards.

    • Spot clean tile walls and partitions.

    • Clean and sanitize main restroom doors front and back.

    • Mop and rinse restroom floors with a disinfectant and clean/treat all floor drains for odor.

    • Remove trash and replace with clean trash bags.

    • Stock paper towels, hand soap and hand sanitizer for all areas.

    • Remove any splash marks from walls and horizontal surfaces.

    • All areas of the bathroom shall be sanitized inclusive of high touch point areas i.e., door handles, light switches, partition door handles, towel and soap lever dispensers, etc.

  • Detail restroom to include full wipe down of walls, tile, remove hard water spots and shine metals.

  • Clean inside and outside of trash cans.

  • Perform job duties in a safe manner.

  • Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age.

  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy

  • 6 months of experience cleaning janitorial or housekeeping duties required.

  • Must possess knowledge of proper chemical handling.

  • Must be able to communicate on a two-way radio.

  • Ability to operate a commercial vacuum cleaner.

  • Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.

  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with hotel guests in a congenial and polite manner.

  • Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 25 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.

  • Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
