When you join our award-winning facility, you earn $18.00/hour. We value our teams' contributions, which is why we also offer sweet benefits such as a 401(k), paid time off, and an employee discount. You work 8-hour shifts; opening shifts start at 6:00 am, and closing shifts end at 9:00 pm. Some weekends may be required. OUR DREAM ANIMAL REHAB ASSISTANT
This position fosters positive relationships with pet patients and their owners while delivering high-quality care. Here are the requirements:
- Experience providing pet care such as feeding, bathing, toenail trimming, and medication administration
- Animal handling skills and basic restraint skills
- Exceptional patient care, customer service, and multitasking skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks from multiple sources
- Excellent English communication skills, great attitude, and a team spirit
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Love for animals and passion for helping special needs patients
Bonus criteria:
- 1+ years of veterinary experience
- Experience working or volunteering at a doggie daycare or boarding facility
YOUR ROLE AS AN ANIMAL REHAB ASSISTANT
As a valued member of our pet care team, you support our daily operations and help make every day a success This is a great opportunity to learn how to care for dogs of all sizes, providing compassionate care as you feed, groom, bathe, and play with them. You administer medication, clean wounds and ears, trim nails, and clean around our boarding facility to maintain a pleasant environment. During appointments, you help safely restrain patients, update medical records, and support our veterinary techs with acupuncture or physical therapy. You keep our exam rooms tidy, support smooth appointments, and assist disabled patients to and from their vehicles when desired. This isn't just a job; this is a mission to help local special needs animals feel happy and healthy
