To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quote Engineer (ONSITE) located in US Buffalo Grove IL.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Quote Engineer will be the responsible for increasing profitable revenue growth in all Business Groups and Segments and to create value for our customers by working with other teams to consistently provide professional quotes in support of our strategic business initiatives and to continuously improve our tools and processes in support of our mission.


What a typical day looks like:

  • Assist sales in defining the overall quote strategy.
  • Ensure accurate, timely responses to customer quotation requests.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee all activities related to the quotation process.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve quotations for content and cost evaluation.
  • Possess financial and P&L knowledge, as well as product costing knowledge.
  • Apply manufacturing capabilities knowledge to provide comprehensive solutions for quotation requirements.
  • Allocate adequate resources to the quote activity.
  • Coordinate quoting activity, including multi-site/multi-regional quotations.
  • Facilitate communication and issue resolution with internal and external customers.
  • Understand cost drivers and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of quotations and customer documentation.
  • Receive, review, and distribute all quotation materials to the team.
  • Responsible for data inputs that drive metrics and track business wins/losses.
  • Coordinate and collect all final quotation components.
  • Produce final proposal documents.
  • Act as the point of contact throughout the quotation process and overall management of the quotation.
  • Monitor technology trends and make cost reduction recommendations.
  • Liaise with business development managers, global account managers, and senior management for pricing approval.
  • Ensure specific requirements in quotations are met through communication with the customer

The experience we're looking to add to our team,

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar position (Design or mold building)
  • REQUIRED plastic injection molding and tooling experience
  • Interpretations of Layouts and Drawings
  • PNL knowledge
  • Capacities analysis
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS office programs
  • Knowledge medical validations
  • Capex analysis and approval process
  • Ability to concept mold designs based on submitted files
