Description

The Director of Fleet will provide hands on asset protection and fleet management with oversight of the safety, compliance and driver training programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prevents loss of company property in addition to third party property damage and bodily injury by implementing programs, processes, policies and cost controls to mitigate and where possible eliminate substantial risks to the organization. Purchases and ensures proper maintenance of vehicles for deliveries, registering and licensing vehicles and finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits. Negotiates with suppliers and determines best strategy for Hotwire going forward on all Fleet needs. Advises leadership on matters related to safety, compliance and regulatory changes and trends. regarding fleets, driver safety, equipment use and maintenance. Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information and using independent discretion to forecast outcomes. Identifies areas for process improvements enhanced operational efficiencies, and establishes plans for implementation. Provides recommendations for utilizing company assets in lieu of buying new equipment in order to achieve cost avoidance objectives. Manages incident investigations related to the fleet and equipment. Collaborate with leadership to ensure appropriate inventory levels to meet project needs. Building collaborative relationships by providing partnership and communication, both verbally and in writing, with customers and internal teams. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance related to the fleet at the local, state and federal level, including Department of Transportation (DOT). Exceptional aptitude with Excel At least one-year experience inspecting commercial vehicles. Demonstrated investigative successes. Experience generating reports and analyzing data to make recommendations. Ability to engage and influence collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
