Helena, United States Marsh & McLennan Agency Full time
The Job

Marsh McLennan Agency is looking for an intellectual and autonomous claims professional to join our Claim Advocacy team. Our ideal candidate will proactively manage an allocated claims portfolio including personal and commercial lines claims in conjunction with Client Relations teams, handling all claims in accordance with process and procedures. You will be part of a team that strives to ensure appropriate claim outcomes are achieved for our clients with a focus on service excellence.

We will give you access to mentorship, training, resources, and development to ensure your success, but you will need to supply the drive and desire to be an MMA professional. Our ideal candidate is hungry, humble and smart- they don’t stop short of excellence and are driven to do what’s best for their clients, colleagues, and communities.

What You'll Be Doing

Leverage your insurance and claims experience to serve as a client advocate and ensure proper claim resolution. Act as a technical referral point, providing guidance, coaching and mentoring. Collaborate cross-functionally to assist clients with claim counseling as needed by facilitating the flow of information and responding appropriately to communication and inquiries. Attend any client meetings and visits when required. Maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers (management, adjusters) and clients (internal and external) through effective communication. Manage, administer and continually enhance periodic claim team reviews for select clients. Occasionally handle “on call” claim team inquiries to service clients’ immediate needs. Partner with key stakeholders to assist in the resolution of E&O incidents. Participate in claim team educational offerings to colleagues and develop content as assigned. Plus (the fine print): you’ll follow organization policies and procedures, sales and service standards and established workflows. You’ll ensure quality control through proper file documentation and maintenance. You’ll maintain confidentiality and be an all-around awesome member of our team.
Who We're Looking For

You’re an insurance and claims guru . You’re an experienced and skilled insurance professional adept at leveraging your insurance knowledge to advocate for your clients across multiple coverage lines. Plus, we prefer that you to hold a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience or more insurance claims or industry-related experience. Personal and commercial claim experience is preferred. You’re tech-savvy. You boast extensive experience and working knowledge of Excel and database-related technology. You’re an exceptional communicator able to collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels and assist with special project initiatives. You have an innate ability to present concepts both visually and verbally. You’re good with people, even on the tough days. Good customer service is just part of who you are, and you love making people happy. You’re a team player. You maintain positive relationships with your colleagues—and you enjoy it. You’re that person everyone can depend on —to pay attention to details, to make deadlines, to be accurate and complete when interacting with clients, colleagues and carriers. You love to learn. You’re earnest about improving and pursuing professional development. You can adapt —because our industry changes constantly and so do the needs of our clients. You’re good at staying on your toes. You’re ready for a meaningful change . No more corporate vanilla structure for you. (Yes, an insurance company really just said that.) You embrace our core values: accountability, balance, excellence, integrity, respect and humanity.

The Perks:

We take pride in providing our colleagues with a competitive compensation package; we will honor all local and state salary thresholds. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Additionally, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives, annual profit sharing and a benefits package that includes paid paternity/maternity leave, medical leave, 401K savings and other wellbeing programs. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Who you are is who we are.

We embrace a culture that celebrates and promotes the many backgrounds, heritages and perspectives of our colleagues and clients. We are always seeking those with ethics, talent, and ambition who are interested in joining our client-focused teams.
