Position Description
The City of Bothell is looking for an Assistant Planner to join our Current Planning division in the Community Development Department. This position will perform a variety of professional planning duties such as customer service, development review, coordinating with applicants and others on the review team, and research associated with code interpretations.
NOTE: This position will remain open until filled. The first review is anticipated to take place on Friday, July 5, 2024.
What will you do in this position?
Contribute to the cross departmental development review team on permit reviews.
Support applicants and customers at the Permit Center
Coordinate the implementation of new codes and standards through permit review and coordination with staff and the community.
Help steward development projects through the permitting process.
A successful candidate in this position will:
Facilitate clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
Streamline work processes and adeptly coordinate and collaborate with your team.
Evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
Work together with the Bothell community and city departments to cultivate strong and successful partnerships.
