Job Description:
The Production Manager will provide daily direction and assistance to the work group to meet assigned objectives. Work with the manufacturing staff to achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results and employee performance. Make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities
•Direct the work activities of hourly employees in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of products.
•Facilitate the hourly workforce by setting clear expectations on production output, EHS compliance, and quality workmanship.
•Responsible for daily workflow, job allocations and shift support coordination.
•Develop and maintain a positive and respectful work environment with all employees.
•Assure compliance with all company procedures to ensure quality. • Compile and analyze production records. Quality, OTD, Effective hours, etc. and provide weekly status to management.
•Help coordinate production focused improvement programs.
•Recruit, hire, and train employees. Creates job descriptions, perform interviews, make recommendations for hire and develop training plans
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Production / Operations Management)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to influence others and lead small teams
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
• Proven analytical and organizational ability
• Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues
