We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and spearhead the integration of R Studio Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager on our Linux server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in server administration, security protocols, and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and optimize R Studio Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager on a Linux server environment.
  • Manage libraries and software versions to ensure compatibility and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement security plans to protect sensitive data and comply with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with the security team to establish secure connections between the server and various data sources, including Snowflake and other platforms.
  • Provision server access to data scientists, providing R Studio Server, sftp, and command line interfaces as needed.
  • Provide comprehensive training and support to data scientists, including instruction on data visualization packages such as ggplot2, Quatro, and Shiny.
  • Guide data scientists on best practices for version control using GIT or Azure DevOps to maintain project integrity and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Proficiency in setting up and managing R Studio Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and data governance principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and data warehouses, especially Snowflake.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Certification in relevant technologies is a plus.

Additional Details

The base range for this contract position is $60- $67/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
