Tax Staff Accountant

Responsibilities
: Process and review multiple client payrolls in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with established payroll processing calendars, and state and federal regulations Communicate with team and/or third-party processor to enable accurate, timely processing of payroll Administer retirement contribution, loan payment, and electronic funds transfer in compliance with the plan design and federal regulations Administer electronic deposits and cash funding reports for payroll. Ensure payroll reports are downloaded and data is securely and confidentially maintained Enter payroll data into client’s software for financial recording Provide administrative support by processing payroll-related expenses and reimbursements, responding to requests for verification of employment Stay abreast of payroll compliance issues and payroll system upgrades via continuing professional development Handle special projects and perform other duties as assigned Requirements: BA/BS Degree in Accounting Two years of electronic payroll processing experience preferred Proficiency with computerized accounting software Professional, organized, detail-oriented, and customer service oriented Strong Excel skills Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Sikich Benefits Our employees enjoy expansive benefit offerings, ranging from wellness programs to our flexible time off policy.
