TAX STAFF ACCOUNTANT - REMOTE/HYBRID/ON-SITE FLEXIBILITY

From bookkeeping to quarterly/yearly financials, Sikich's accounting professionals are skilled in all areas of financial planning. Professionals in this field possess excellent communication skills and are comfortable providing strategic and tactical accounting advice and recommendations to firm clients. Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Process and review multiple client payrolls in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with established payroll processing calendars, and state and federal regulations
  • Communicate with team and/or third-party processor to enable accurate, timely processing of payroll
  • Administer retirement contribution, loan payment, and electronic funds transfer in compliance with the plan design and federal regulations
  • Administer electronic deposits and cash funding reports for payroll. Ensure payroll reports are downloaded and data is securely and confidentially maintained
  • Enter payroll data into client's software for financial recording
  • Provide administrative support by processing payroll-related expenses and reimbursements, responding to requests for verification of employment
  • Stay abreast of payroll compliance issues and payroll system upgrades via continuing professional development
  • Handle special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting
  • Two years of electronic payroll processing experience preferred
  • Proficiency with computerized accounting software
  • Professional, organized, detail-oriented, and customer service oriented
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Sikich currently practices as an alternative practice structure in accordance with the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct and applicable law, regulations, and professional standards. Sikich CPA LLC is a licensed CPA firm and provides audit and attest services to its clients. Sikich LLC has a contractual arrangement with Sikich CPA LLC whereby Sikich LLC provides Sikich CPA LLC with professional and support personnel and other support services to allow Sikich CPA LLC to perform its professional services and Sikich CPA LLC consults with Sikich LLC and shares client information with Sikich LLC with respect to the provision of such services.
