ROLE of the POSITION
The College of Engineering at UNLV invites applications for non-tenure track, Assistant Professor-in-Residence candidates. Dedicated to fostering diversity, we encourage applications from underrepresented groups, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.

This role is pivotal in maintaining excellence in education, enhancing retention, and improving graduation rates. The ideal candidate will excel in teaching a diverse array of physics, and Engineering courses, primarily at the lower levels.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Physics or equivalent in a relevant field before the appointment begins. Faculty responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses, contributing to the development of a new engineering program, assisting in the assessment of undergraduate education, and fostering a dynamic, professional student community. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, with preference given to those with prior college-level teaching experience, particularly in an electronics and/or a mechanical engineering labs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Applicants must have some prior teaching experience. This could be experience as a Teaching Assistant while in graduate school. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
