St. Gregory the Great Catholic School seeks an innovative, experienced, and collaborative Middle School Social Studies Teacher for the 2024-2025 Academic year.

Candidates should possess a desire to work in a Christ-centered school, where faith and reason work together, enjoy working with Middle School students, effectively teach and engage students, and be committed to the mission of Catholic schools. The candidate must have experience in the relevant academic content specific to Middle School and High School level social studies. The candidate must be capable of working collaboratively with colleagues, have experience using 21st century technology tools, use student centered instructional strategies and a desire to help students understand the depth and beauty of God’s creation.

Qualifications:

● Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an approved program with a Middle School and High School endorsement in History and Social Sciences
● Classroom experience minimum of 2 years preferred
● Computer literate and technologically proficient.
● Ability to communicate using electronic mail, telephone, and in person with parents and colleagues
● Highly organized and motivated.
● Must be eligible for teacher licensure in Virginia. Start Date: 2024-2025 School Year (beginning August 12, 2024)
