AECOM is seeking a Design Manager (Design Build) to be based in Orange, CA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages and leads a team of professionals, overseeing the design of large-complex projects.
  • Manages design effort, design schedule, and budgets. 
  • Change and risk management.
  • Coordinates client needs and develops/builds on relationships for future opportunities. 
  • Mentors, develops, and hires support staff. 
  • Monitors contract compliance and leads project dispute/resolution process. 
  • Leads and assists in the development of future design-build proposals. 
  • Builds and maintains relationships with project owners/AHJ's. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree + Ten (10) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Must possess CA State PE License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of transportation project experience 
  • Experience with design build delivery for final design 
  • DOT Design Build Project Experience
  • Experience leading and managing transportation design-build projects with DOT's on large complex highway projects. 
  • Experience with Caltrans, LA Metro, RCTC, and other agencies.
  • Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent Communication Skills and Ability to Lead Staff
