Crack Open the Possibilities – Processing Maintenance Tech

The Processing Maintenance Team is responsible to assign and perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on equipment, including the MOBA machine. The duties below will be documented in the PM log and verified by a maintenance supervisor.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Check parts on MOBA during pre-op to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards. Take corrective action as needed and report issues to appropriate supervisors.

 · Verify cleanliness, function and service standards of MOBA components, including, but not limited to: - Blood detection system, egg inspector, crack detectors, case conveyors, tape machines, egg accumulator, optical sensors, accumulator extension, multidrum, washer screens, transfer, buffer set, frame, off-grade packing conveyor

 · Address any deficiencies discovered during inspection

 · Perform any additional daily maintenance checks as directed by maintenance supervisory team

 · Clean optical sensors with air or dry cloth

· Clean sleeves of oiled air filters on Egg Inspector with water and soap, allow to dry and then reassemble.

 · Inspect all lights in and around the building

 · Inspect doors/walls for leaks, holes or damage

· Address any deficiencies discovered during inspection

· Perform any additional weekly maintenance checks as directed by maintenance supervisory team

· Oil/Lubricate the following components in accordance with maintenance schedule: - Chains, bearings, rings, rod-heads, oiled air filters on Egg Inspector (using special kit)

 · Use pressured air hose to clean all other air filters

 · Address any deficiencies discovered during inspection

· Perform any additional monthly maintenance checks as directed by maintenance supervisory team Semi-Annual

 · Check all chains/belts and adjust tension as needed

· If chains or other equipment must be tensioned, they must be checked against the data in the service manual.

· Oil all lubrication points in accordance with the service manual

· Address any deficiencies discovered during inspection

· Perform any additional semi-annual maintenance checks as directed by maintenance supervisory team Annual

 · Replace all air filters

 · Perform any additional annual maintenance checks as directed by maintenance supervisory team

Other Responsibilities

· Respond to any maintenance issues presented by maintenance supervisory team or processing management

· Ensure effective communication with maintenance management on all relevant matters, using tools like e-mail, phone or interoffice mail, where appropriate

· Acquire and maintain relevant certifications (PIT Operator, Lockout/Tagout, etc)

 · Inform relevant management of any maintenance issues that could affect safety and/or productivity

 · Ask your supervisor if you have any questions regarding
