Job Summary

POWER Engineers is seeking an Entry-Level Drafter to work with the Power Delivery Substation Department of our Saint Louis, Missouri office. Flexibility is available to work remotely.

Responsibilities

The position entails drafting and design opportunities on substation projects that include physical layout drawings as well as schematics and wiring diagrams The Entry-Level Substation Drafter will be responsible for learning, understanding, and implementing CAD knowledge; learning client standards, practices, and procedures to ensure that work produced conforms to the client's standards, procedures, and processes; collaborating on design issues; and seeking guidance from those with more experience

Required Education/Experience

Associate's Degree in Drafting Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Familiarity with electrical utility substation projects Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship

Desired Education/Experience

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks Experience working with scaled drawings Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel Reliable, detail-oriented self-starter who takes ownership of assigned tasks
