Transportation Construction Inspector

Qualifications/Duties:

  • 3 years of experience as a concrete inspector
  • Proficient in measuring square foot and square yard quantities
  • Proficient in recording and tracking quantities
  • Proficient in tracking the project budget
  • Proficient in submitting documents, reports, etc. on time
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite of software to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experienced in MOT
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends if needed and have required certifications
  • Inspect concrete to ensure compliance with plans and specs
  • Perform quality control
  • Familiar with soil inspection techniques
  • Monitor and document progress and workforce of crew
  • Ensure construction follows plan and document/report progress and any deviations
  • Ensure materials are from properly approved sources
  • Complete IDRs
  • Complete manifests for contaminated soil disposal
  • Calculate pay quantities

Work Hours: The position may require weekend and/or night shift hours.

Certifications:

  • OSHA-10 or higher - Required
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade 1 - Required
  • MARTCP Soils - Highly Desired
  • MARTCP HMA Field - Highly Desired
  • MOT - Highly Desired
  • NETS Nuclear Gauge Operator - Plus
  • WACEL (various) - Plus
  • NICET (various) - Plus

Other Requirements:

  • Must be a United States Citizen or authorized to work in the US (no sponsorships available-no exceptions)
  • Background check and drug screen panel are required for this position
