Summary of Job Duties:

The Faculty Support Specialist will provide general administrative support to assigned cardiac faculty and nursing staff including planning, organizing, and scheduling special projects as directed (e.g. maintains physician calendars, tracks and reports monthly on physician/APRN e-fund spending, initiates travel arrangements and processes/closes out travel expenditures, attends to memberships and assists with correspondence, conference calls, and organizational duties as assigned). This position will assist with reappointment application processes for assigned faculty.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in public administration, general business or related field plus three (3) years of medical administrative experience or

High School/GED plus seven (7) years of medical administrative experience required.


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

Assists in creating a well-organized, informative, and pleasant site visit for Pediatric Cardiology faculty candidates and their spouses. 

Creates and manages Cardiology faculty portfolios, and tenure packets.

Creates and distributes faculty development reports and annual data reports.

Tracks assigned physician licenses and certifications, as well as prepare special projects such as a cardiology newsletter to refer physicians, CME for cardiology conferences, and maintaining and updating the Cardiology website.

Performs other duties as assigned.
