Job Summary: The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) will oversee the rehabilitation services provided at Vivo Healthcare Sebring. The DOR will be responsible for managing the rehabilitation department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and leading a team of skilled therapists. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs that meet the needs of patients and improve their quality of life.
- Supervise and support a team of therapists, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Monitor and manage department budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous professional development.
- Evaluate and improve department policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy.
- PTA/OTA welcome to apply
- Current state licensure as a PT, OT, or SLP.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.
- Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in a skilled nursing facility.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
