The Section of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center is seeking a full-time Neonatologist who is interested in pursuing a career that combines clinical research and practice to join our faculty. The Renee Schine Crown Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a level IV, 72-bed (single-roomed), state-of-the-art unit. Our Neonatology Faculty provide advanced care for newborns ranging from extremely preterm to those with complex surgical needs.

The ideal candidate will have research interests that align with the productive NICU Human Milk research team at Rush. Current areas of investigation include human milk science; lactation physiology; disparities in lactation outcomes; clinical, neurodevelopmental, and economic outcomes associated with human milk feedings for very low birth weight infants; donor milk; and maternal, infant and milk microbiome. Graduating fellows with significant research experience and potential are encouraged to apply. Applicants should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, and qualified for an appointment to the faculty at Rush University Medical School.

Professional Staff: 11 current NPs/PAs with plans to increase

Fellowship Program: 2 fellows per year
