The Director, Nursing - Pace is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations within the PACE Organization. The Director, Nursing - Pace leads, implements, and is accountable for providing consistent high quality integrated care provided to PACE participants and caregivers. The Director, Nursing - Pace manages the nursing staff and directs the coordination of care provided by the Center Managers, RN, LPNs, and participant care teams (PCT) across all PACE centers. The Director, Nursing - Pace collaborates with other leaders to ensure the interdisciplinary team (IDT) provides proactive, preventative, holistic, and participant-centered care. The Director, Nursing - Pace develops and implements nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Policy and Standards Development
• Develop, review, and revise policies, procedures, and standards for the nursing department to align with current healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Direct and implement standardized, evidence-based processes for RNs, Participant Care Teams, and nursing services throughout Hope PACE. Team Leadership and Development
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Provide effective and proactive communication to peers and staff.
• Set performance expectations and offer ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance nursing competencies.
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff, focusing on performance and competence elevation. Patient Care and Quality Assurance
• Establish clinical care quality goals and initiate quality improvement projects, monitoring progress and ensuring accountability.
• Spearhead innovative care models and technological advancements to continuously improve care and service provision.
• Ensure compliance with CMS and state regulatory requirements, overseeing interventions to maintain standards in nursing care and documentation.
• Coordinate comprehensive care planning and management for participants, ensuring meticulous documentation and care standards adherence.
• Monitor patient care for quality, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations. Strategic and Collaborative Initiatives
• Embody and champion Hope PACE's mission, vision, values, and cultural ideals, implementing strategies to foster a positive organizational culture.
• Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes within the organization.
• Work collaboratively with Center Managers on competency assessment and nursing professional development.
• Engage in professional meetings and committees to stay abreast of national care standards and ensure the provision of quality-focused care.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director, PACE Director, and other leaders to drive initiatives that optimize utilization, improve quality of care, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
•Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role, including a minimum of one-year experience working with frail elderly populations.
•Strong knowledge of nursing and healthcare regulations and standards.
•Excellent leadership, oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
•Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, patients, and families.
•Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Must meet Registered Nurse State Licensure requirements (be legally authorized to practice in Florida, and only act within the scope of his/her authority to practice).
