Inventory/Receiving Team Lead (Byhalia, MS):

Position Summary:

As a member of the Marshall Manufacturing and Distribution Center team the Inventory Control/Receiving Team Lead will be responsible for leadership of the Department. This person will be a safety champion who understands all aspects of safety relating to the distribution operations. Lead and support the inventory and receiving associates to assure Physical Inventory, Cycle Counts, Physical Audits and Receiving responsibilities are conducted daily and accurately.

Inventory Control Responsibilities:

Support and oversee the daily cycle count of the various inventory assets. Investigate, identify, and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages. Audit process along with paper flow errors and try to spot the inconsistencies that affect the accuracy of the inventories. Take care of the inventory areas by organizing and maintaining efficient material handling and storage. Maintain the cycle count records so that it can be reviewed by management and provide the reports related to cycle count activity. Lead and direct daily department cycle count activities with employees assigned to the department. Work in the SAP system to research, control, report, and training related to inventory activity. Proactively identify and implement best-in-class controls to reduce inventory loss and write offs. Provide and maintain inventory accuracy metrics and communicate to plant staff; define inventory accuracy opportunities, facilitate solutions, and implement action plans. Establish systems to monitor performance measures and improve inventory accuracy.

Receiving Responsibilities:

Lead all phases of receiving operations including receiving schedules, unloading operations and material handling activities. Lead receiving processes in training and assist in actions to improve performance. Ensures proper procedures are in place and being followed for receiving efficiency, quality, and quantity of product. Utilize Corelle Brand’s Mission, Vision, and Values to govern daily activities, including guidance to other associates on daily activities. Responsible for receiving orders into inventory; comparing Purchase Order to Packing Slip; ensuring proper receiving documents arrive and placing the parts in the proper bin location. Trains and instructs associates regarding work performed in receiving and warehousing. Leads by example with the Company Code of Ethics as guidance and promotes safety awareness and cultivates the safety culture throughout the facility. Ensure availability of materials (supplies) and resources to all associates in the team, so that they can perform their duties with maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma /GED 2 years distribution-experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with leading a team of 10-12 associates. Experience utilizing MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Good verbal as well as written communication skills that are necessary to work in a customer-focused working environment. Good organization and business administration skills, attention to detail, willingness to improve, learn and adapt in accordance with continuously improving activities. Experience with SAP or related inventory systems preferred. Experience in communicating improvements needed in areas impacting both inventory and receiving. Bi-lingual preferred but not required. Pay = $20.60 per hour
